Hard soles = Sore feet?

One for female readers out there. Im sure if you've been shopping on the high street in the past few months or so you wouldn't have failed to notice the sudden influx of biker boots. I was unsure at first, they seemed to be a pretty masculine footwear compared to what i usually wore (ballet pumps, mostly). However, i decided to give them a go, and wear feminine clothes with them to achieve a sort of edgy look. I like to call it, 'dolly girl meets biker boy.' Mainly it revolves around quirky feminine dresses with tights, biker boots and a leather jacket to toughen the look up. Completed with black eyeliner for daytime, and maybe a bold lip colour by night. Messy hair is a must.

Anyway, i purchased the boots below from my local New Look store. They cost £26.99 and have a low hard heel, a size zip, lace up and have a rounded toe. I really like them, they're edgy and i loved wearing them with feminine dresses. However i did run into a problem whilst constantly wearing them. They make my feet so sore. Is it just because they have such a hard sole? All other footwear i own has soft rubber soles, and these just kill my feet if i wear them for over a few hours. So, a warning to you ladies out there, if you are wearing your shoes for a long period of time, make sure that the soles aren't too hard! Or is it just me who has this problem?

Tomorrow I'm going to give them another whirl, but wear thick wooly socks over my tights, to see if the extra padding will eliminate the problem of sore feet. I will update tomorrow with the results, and then hopefully i'll have a recommendation to all you ladies out there who love their shoes, but hate what they do to their feet!
