The 'New Man'

17 Nov 2010

You know the kind, the ones that know how to cook and don't pass wind in front of people and find it funny. They also have a good sense of hygiene, and often use moisturiser and lip balm. They take note of their appearance, wear fashionable clothes, have a stylish haircut and nice shoes. They contrast greatly to the more 'manly man', who wears nothing but t-shirts and jeans with holes in, watches football whilst downing pints of lager and getting their doting girlfriend to cook them dinner because all they apparently know how to cook is beans on toast, and whilst i say beans on toast, i mean that they can open the tin of beans with their sheer brawn, but are unable to put the contents in the microwave/heat on a stove without causing a housefire.

I've always found a manly man attractive, but with more 'polite' attributes. I like guys who are into their sport, especially the more aggressive ones such as Rugby. I like guys who don't constantly check themselves out in the mirror (as long as they smell ok), and i like guys who possess the more 'masculine' attributes, rather than feminine ones. I don't want a guy to spend more time preening himself than i do, or to wear more facial products than i do. Is it programmed into ladies to be attracted to the more alpha male or am i alone in thinking this?

Your opinions ladies?
