I'm so sorry for the lack of posting recently. I have been so busy with work and just generally being out of the house. We have eaten out more times than I can count this week, and we've been having to travel across London for work, so time spent indoors blogging has been really limited!
Today I am going to deviate from my usual post subjects, mainly because I think that this subject is pretty interesting, I hope that you'd agree. Tuesday evening was definitely the best, my boyfriend and I went to the Royal Albert Hall to see BB King, and some of the musicians who played on stage were quite thrilling. The atmosphere was electric too, I'd definitely recommend going to see someone play live here if you can.
I'd like to share with you a few of the pictures from the night, I hope that you enjoy them.
The legendary BB King. But for the supporting artists; Slash, Mick Hucknall and Ronnie Wood! Who'd have thought?!
The blonde lady (unfortunately I didn't properly hear her name) and her husband who played guitar (didn't get any clear photos of him), were absolutely brilliant as well. She had such an amazing voice and he was brilliant on guitar.
I am off to bed, but I will reply to all comments on this, and all comments on my previous post tomorrow evening. How was your week, did you get up to anything nice?

# My weekend - Selfridges
26 Jun 2011
This will be the first of a couple of posts I will write about my weekend, I did so much, and saw so much that I haven't before, so I have plenty of pictures stored on my camera, and plenty of things to say. The first place we visited is Selfridges. For people who aren't sure of what Selfridges is, it is basically a huge department store on Oxford Street, which sells a vast array of just about anything. I can honestly say I have never been there before until now, even though I have had plenty of opportunities to. Most of these photos are taken in the food court part. The reason being is that the sweets looked so much more colourful and appealing compared to the make up section, and I love sweet treats and nice looking foods!
Lola's sell the most beautiful handcrafted cupcakes that I have ever seen. After viewing them, I had to get one, didn't I? I got a cookies and cream one for me, and a rocky road one for my boyfriend, They were £2.50 per cupcake though, which is a bit steep. But for an occasional treat they are perfect.
They also sell gingerbread men and cake, which look just as yummy, but I just wanted the cupcake.
Right opposite Lola's, is The Real Flower Company, which sold the most beautiful flowers.
I love the way things are set out in the store. Granted, they probably wouldn't be half as attractive if it wasn't for the arrangement.
I took a few more pictures, but I became a bit self conscious as a worker there told me that you weren't meant to take pictures in store. I thought it was a shame because it's so beautiful, so why not share it with a wider audience? Anyway, I was a bit naughty and kind of did take some more pictures. Check out the Bob Marley drink, I bought one in Honey Tea, It was super lovely.
Last but not least, it's the jelly bean selection and the lollipops! They look seriously impressive, but my photos don't really give the arrangement the credit it deserves, so I'm sorry about that!
Mmm, I'm getting a sugar rush just looking at the photos. So, how was your weekend, what did you get up to, and what did you buy?

The Dolly Peg
♥
Oh I found the most beautiful website whilst I was browsing the world wide web today. The website sells the most beautiful bits and pieces I have ever seen. The layout is pretty darn cute too! But honestly, who wouldn't want to buy these pieces;

♥
Adorable! Don't get me wrong, I'd probably get obsessed with the chalk board for a while and then it'd end up sitting in the back of my wardrobe gathering dust because I have no real use for it, and I don't really have a garden to hang the zinc votive, but I still want them so much!
If you are interested in viewing more of the products sold, you can access the website here.
Ps: This is a scheduled post; I am away from my computer from friday until about sunday as my friends are coming to stay with me. I will respond to all comments on sunday evening.
Tattoo Love
25 Jun 2011
I was going to post this on thursday, but I thought I'd mix it up a bit. These designs were obtained through google, and I do not own these images, nor do I even have a tattoo. You have to admire (most) of them though, as some people do get some amazing designs. I'd just be terrified that I'd dislike it in years to come, and I am a complete wuss when it comes to pain.
Do you like them? Which one is your favourite?
Ps: This is a scheduled post. My friends are currently staying at my flat for the weekend, so I'll probably not be online until sunday. Any comments will be answered then :-).
PPS: I am considering following more blogs on bloglovin, just because I check the feed more often than the google friend connect one, so if I'm searching for the blogs owned by people I comment on regularly, and following on there. Just drop me a line to remind me to follow you, and/or if you're a new little liker of my blog here, please don't be offended if I follow you on bloglovin instead of google, it's just so much easier for me to be notified of new posts on there :-), I hope you understand. It doesn't mean I'll never follow on google again, it just means I will be more likely to follow on bloglovin, or both :-).

Inspiration
23 Jun 2011
Feeling a bit like a talking and walking zombie today. I emerged from my den to go to the local shops to buy only Ben and Jerry's icecream and some smoked ham crisps. Haha you must think me so unhealthy, but I had fruit and healthy stuff at home already, I promise! Do you ever have certain days where you walk out the front door and everything feels slightly overwhelming, things are either too bright, too busy, too noisy or too cold? I was like that today. I felt a heightened sense of self consciousness.
I'm needing something to get the little cogs in my brain working again. The above quote got me thinking, which gave said cogs a little start. The picture below got me drooling. Not just due to the fashion, but the photography is divine!
Mmm, yummy.

A little bit of colour
22 Jun 2011
It has been such a grey day today. Rain is predicted, and it's looking pretty grey and overcast. To top it off I am still ill, so I've not been able to enjoy the day like I would usually. It does mean that I get to post more though, which probably wouldn't have happened if I had to work.
Outside my flat looking over towards Canary Wharf the weather is currently unremarkable. A bit of cloud and a bit of an 'I'm going to rain' look, but nothing too spectacular.
So to cheer myself up I've decided to add a little bit of colour to my day, and my clothes. Do you have any favourite clothes that when you put them on you instantly perk up? I do, it happens to be my super bright, super yellow tights. They make me smile instantly when I see them. The little yellow beauties.
♥ Thank you to everyone who comments, and for everyone who commented on my last post. You gave me more body confidence. I'd have never done this before, but here's a picture of me wearing the yellow tights. You can't see my face though as I'm taller than the mirror.
♥ I really like my new scarf (pictured). It was about £3 from Primark and it's all warm and snug. Perfect for snuggling on the sofa at home being poorly Sarah.
♥ Here are a few more things I bought over last week. Including the gorgeous pinky coloured scarf.
♥ The floral piece you can see is a headband, which has bendy wire running through it, meaning you can mould it to your head and it stays in place. It's a fantastic idea! The necklace is also from Primark, and I love it as it looks quite vintage.
♥ The other item you can see is a Maxfactor lip tint. I've forgotton which colour it is, but I really like it. A few of my male friends have said before that they really dislike red lips on women. They think it looks over the top and too dramatic. I quite like it though. I know I look young, but I am 21, promise!
I remember in a previous post I mentioned that my brogues had fallen apart. I finally managed to pop into the shops and get myself a new pair, do you likey?
I'm going to spend the rest of the day sofa bound (again!) watching this morning and all the daytime tv I can handle. I hope that your day is as bright as my tights.

My week so far
21 Jun 2011
I've had a bit more spare time today to do a proper post. Mainly due to the fact that I've only had a half day at work (I wasn't feeling too well, and having to look at a computer screen for seven hours isn't good when you've got a head cold!) Due to my lack of keeping busy and being slightly sofa bound, I've decided to write a whimsical post on bits and bobs, and my week so far.
♥ My boyfriend is off back up north for a few days in the middle of the week. I'm sure I will miss him greatly, as the only thing that I have to snuggle in bed now is mr moomin, the cuddly toy.
♥ My latest purchases; Purse £2 - Primark, Necklace £2 (I think) - Primark.
♥ Yes, I did go on a massive shopping spree just after my birthday, these things are just the tip of the iceberg with regards to what I bought. I love the vintage thing going on with the purse, and the necklace has a teapot on it, so you can't argue with that. I think that they're super pretty. Do you like them?
♥ I was majorly debating whether to put this photo up today or not, it looks like my arm is missing, even though I think I was scratching my head at the time. Firstly I'm so self conscious about the way I look, especially my figure, and I thought the less pictures there are of my figure on here the more pleased my readers would be. Secondly I've not been one to do outfit posts; in fact I don't think I've ever done one before. I suppose that my fashion sense is a bit on the unusual side, I'm usually not a jeans and tee sort of girl. Luckily I didn't really go out much today in this outfit, so I've not imposed it on many people.
I hope that you're all having a lovely day. Also, thank you so much for my birthday messages, they were so lovely. My birthday was lovely, and receiving all the messages that I did made it that extra bit special.

A few of my favourite +
20 Jun 2011
Today I want to share with everyone a few of my favourite websites. I hope that you'll like reading about these little gems and maybe even check them out for yourself.
Closet Case Vintage Is the first website that I have been checking out a lot recently. You can buy pieces from both the etsy store and the ebay store. They have some gorgeous pieces on there, and it's definitely worth a look. Here are just a few photos displaying what beautiful pieces they have on offer.
The second is I want vintage. Which is basically a collection of vintage kitchenware being sold on the website. My absolute favourite from their website, which always puts a smile on my face is the mannequin design used on the placemats, it's such a genius idea! I love the cute teapots too. I've been thinking about buying one from there, as I always enjoy making tea much more if i'm brewing it in a teapot first. Something that usually draws me in to a website is the design and general look of it too, and the design of this website hits the mark for me. It's a perfect combination of being cute yet easy to navigate and functional.
My third and final favourite website of the week has been kaboodle. This is mainly because of the cute mugs I have found on there, after a long search online. Basically, my boyfriend and I moved into a flat, with no utensils, crockery or cutlery. I took one look at this website and the mugs it offers and fell in love with it. Just take a look at this mug and hopefully you'll share my sentiments.
I hope that you are all enjoying your monday evening. What are your favourite websites, and what websites do you avoid?
