February Favourites

29 Feb 2012

Models Own Nail Polishes, Real Techniques Stippling Brush, Collection 2000 Concealer

Models Own nail polishes in Top Turquoise, Lilac Dream, Soda Pop Pink and Beth's Blue.
Real Techniques stippling brush.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer.
Bourjois blush in Rose Coup De Foudre.
Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner.
My bird print scarf.

Just a few of my favourite things in February. Some things I bought ages ago (the Gel Liner) but I've only just started using and appreciating it. I love the nail polish colours, Beth's Blue and Soda Pop Pink haven't left my fingernails since I bought them online. The Bourjois blush is gorgeous. It's a delicate pinky coral which has a subtle golden sheen. I'm sure every blogger has heard someone or another rave about the Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer, so I'm sure I don't need to say more on that! I recently bought the Real Techniques Stippling Brush from my local Boots and I love it. It buffs my foundation perfectly into my skin and it looks like I have naturally flawless skin. Lastly, my bird print scarf which I received for Christmas. I have a huge collection of scarves but most have a floral print, so it's always nice to add somethin different to the collection!

In other news, it's been unusually warm in the UK. I know you American souls out there will probably scoff when I mention the temperature, but it's almost a mini heatwave for this time of year at 17°C, so I've been trying to enjoy the weather as much as possible. I've also changed the conditions of my ad swap. For those of you who are already involved, I have sent you an e-mail. Ad swaps will now run for one month, with a chance to renew at the end of the month. The conditions have changed simply because I'm getting more people want to take part than I expected, and I didn't want a huge list of ad swaps on my page as it wouldn't benefit you. For those who haven't responded to the e-mail announcing the changes and asking if you wanted to stay on, I will just assume that you do not want to continue. If you actually do want to stay on, please e-mail me.

What are your favourite products this month?

EDIT: As of 29/2/2012 at 4.29pm all ad swap places for march are full. If you want to ad swap for April please get in touch.

  6. Oooh, love those nail colors. They're so pretty and the perfect shades for spring!
Hmm, I haven't really treated myself to nice products in a while. Probably my favorite would be my L'Oreal liquid liner. Haha, its perfect for days when I feel less than...well, put together. :)

  11. I haven't heard of any of those makeup brands, but the colors look lovely. I'll have to look them up sometime. Incidentally, your blog looks amazing. I still kind of miss the original pink/gray theme from a billion years ago, but this looks really fab and sleek. I'm terrible at making buttons, but I might be contacting you about the ad swap.

  12. Right now, it's Tressemme Conditioner for sleek hair. It seems to be doing the job quite well. And I don't know celsius, so I have no idea what that means.

I wish we could get some british brands over here. Ugh. I'm so over everything we have! lol

Very annoying though when i wrap up in my scarf, coat, hat for the walk to work (which generally turns into a run as my timing is perpetually awful!) and i get there looking like a glistening mess with sticky hair O_O (see im never elegant! Never ever!)

That lilac nail colour is dreamy! Ohhh Boots <3 i could spend many years (and pounds!) in that shop! xxx

  31. I have been hearing so much about all these brands but they are quite difficult for me to get here in Asia. I have been wanting to try bourjois and Collection 2000 products for ages >___<

And thank you so much for visiting my blog!! The Revlon lip butters are the first lip products I have tried from Revlon and I quite like them, so I will definitely check out other products from them too. The lip butters do vary in opacity though, so I am interested in trying out more shades to see for sure.

  37. i forgot to email back!! arghh doing it now but yeah i want to stay on!

i love love love these nail colours. there's one that was in boots in newcastle the other week but when i went back for it, it had disappeared! i think it was called dusty rose or dusty pink! anyway i'm on the hunt for it... hoping they've not stopped producing it!

I'm using gel liner or liquid at the minute and i find the gel stays on considerably longer than liquid or pencil, but i find it harder to get a thin line.
