I just thought I'd share a very spring inspired outfit that I made on Polyvore, seeing as though it is now the second day of March. I can't deny that I am dying to wear some brighter clothes. During Winter months I usually confine myself to wearing only black, grey and erm, more grey as I never feel like wearing anything particularly colourful. As soon as we get some Spring sunshine I am ready to break out those floral prints and pretty dresses. How cute is the topshop daffodil shirtdress? I'm not sure whether to invest in anything pastel coloured though, wearing pastel coloured tops seem to make me look ill, and I'm not sure whether I would suit pastel coloured jeans, which is a shame as I really like the outfits I've seen other bloggers rocking. In fact I'm not quite sure which Spring 2012 trend I will be investing in, I don't suit peplums either, maybe I will just stick to florals.
In other news, you should totally check out the blogs of people I've ad swapped with this month. A lot are new, and even the ones you recognise you should take a look at, they all have awesome blogs!

I think this Topshop dress would look amaazing on you! I'm sure pastels would suit you, maybe a skirt or even shoes? :) You know I'm a little too in to pastels already..xxx
ReplyDeleteAww thank you! I love the dress, the print is so cute! I might invest in some pastel skirts and shoes, I really like it but having it too close to my face will wash me out! :) I love how you wear pastels, I mentioned in my post that I'm loving how bloggers are rocking the trend :) xxx
Deletei agree such a gorgeous dress!! really pretty :))
ReplyDeleteThat dress looks gorgeous - very 50s! I'm not a fan of pastels either, I just don't think I have the right complexion for it but thankfully my wardrobe is full of florals so I'm all set - bring on the warm weather : )
ReplyDeleteYour blog is a beaut !! I have been lusting over a pair of pink brogues for aaaages.. Feeling mighty spring like today !

I noticed that Spring was in the air today, it makes me so happy.. even the smells of Spring are better than Winter. So looking forward to not having to wear my parka every day! I'm a bit on the fence about which trend to go with too.. I'll probably stick with florals, bright clothes make me look ill and pastels make me look a bit like a child...
ReplyDeleteAlso, that dress is gorgeous :) xx
that tea dress is so perfect! i am so (so!) ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteIt´s the same to me! Waiting for spring time to wear colourful!

love this polvore set you've created :D definitely makes me anticipate the warmer weather to come in nyc.. it's been so chilly and cold lately. I feel like we've had 'winter' for wayy too long! (even though it really didn't snow much this winter at all~ just been boring cold).
ReplyDeletei agree, i also like wearing lighter colors for warmer weather. i feel once it gets too hot, it is also necessary or else one would die of heat wearing black or very dark colors in the summer!!

ReplyDeleteto be honest, I don't follow trends and I don't care what's in or what isn't. I wear clothes I like and I do it whenever I want to. but I have to agree that pastels are so pretty and I have found quite many free pastel items while going through some thrift stuff.
ReplyDeletebtw, you should post your floral outfits here sometimes if you can :)
