I picked up this blush a few months ago, mainly because other bloggers have been recommending it and I've always wanted to try Topshop make up. I'm always a bit skeptical when a brand such as Topshop releases a make up line, like it won't be as good as normal make up brands or something? I've only tried this blush and a lipstick but so far it has definitely surpassed my expectations.
This blush costs £6 for 4g of product, so it is relatively inexpensive. It comes in a cute black box and the packaging seems sturdy and stylish, with a handy mirror included. On the website this blusher is labelled as being a coral colour. Whilst I agree that it is on the coral scale, it leans more towards the pinky side of coral. It also states on the website that it is a cream to powder formula, which I can attest to, but it is not drying in the way that some powders are. Having said that, I usually use powders instead of creams. They seem easier to apply and I usually find cream blushers hard to blend.
This blush is especially pigmented (my arm swatch is after just one swipe), and I was worried that I would end up with two streaks of blusher on my face. I needn't have worried though, this blusher is extremely easy to blend, and looks natural when worn as long as it is applied with a light hand. It is long lasting and it easily surpasses the seven hour mark, although it loses pigmentation slightly throughout the day, which is to be expected. The only negative about this blusher is that there are very few shades available online, I would have bought more but the other shades sold online don't appeal to me as much (apart from Flush, but it looks exactly the same as Neon Rose in the photo on their website!)
All in all I am very pleased with this blush. It's easy to blend, a pretty colour, long lasting and inexpensive. I think every one should have this in their make up bag!
Have you tried topshop make up before?

Sounds good :) I have a powder blush from Topshop which is a similar colour, the cream blushes do appeal but I feel I can't have loads of blushes on the go at the same time (extravagant for me!) xx
ReplyDeleteI love Topshop's makeup range: their gel eyeliner is really good, and it's all really good value. Might have to give this blusher a go...
ReplyDeleteI'm a big big fan of topshop make up, and i really love their packaging too :)
ReplyDeleteI've never tried the blush so will have to get onto this, but the nail varnish collection is fantastic x
I have heard so much abou this blush and really want to try it now! It's such a pretty colour :) xx
ReplyDeleteSeems lovely, I've never tried one like that & I've never TopShop makeup..or never even ordered their clothes. [nevernevernever, hihi!]
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if the delivery cost (to Finland) is still high, might have to check out that right away! ^^ There's some great stuff.. ♥
Have a lovely day,

ReplyDeleteno i haven't tried it, but is sounds like you've found a winner dear sarah!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE TOPSHOP NAILPOLISHES. GREAT POST. XX
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice blush, color is beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI was browsing it earlier. Cream blushes are hard to blend but at least that one works out nicely! I always get worried that products from clothing stores aren't as good as normal makeup brands
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest, I never use blush, since I get so rosy cheeked throughout the day without it. Haha, but I still enjoy reading your reviews because one day, who knows! I may need it :)

i have not tried it but definitely want to now. (knowing that we had the same issues with benefit's blush).
ReplyDeleteI have not, but I have tried their nail polish, and it's incredible. It lasts longer than many of my Essie, Chanel, and OPI colors! Love the packaging, too!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried their make-up before, but the packaging always looks so lovely. Great review & at £6, a bargain!

I haven't tried Topshop make-up but I would love to, someday. actually I don't even use a blush.. only a little bit concealer, mascara and sometimes additionally eyeshadow and lipstick. I'm not a huge make-up person :P
ReplyDeleteanyway, your review was very interesting to read and I totally love the package!

I'm a huge fan of the Pinch blusher, though it's not on the website, so perhaps it was LE? It looks ridiculously pink and scary in the pan, but with a light hand it translates into the most gorgeous natural flush.

I've not bought any Topshop makeup (I'm a little bit wary of a clothing brand deciding to delve into something completely different like make-up!), but this looks lovely. x
ReplyDeleteThe color you got is really pretty for your complection. Glad you stepped out of your comfort zone and tried it because it looks worth it =)

Top Shop has THE best cosmetic packaging - so simple and cute! I've never been a fan of cream blushes, I find they go bad quicker than powder ones.

Oh wow! To be honest, I didn't even know Topshop had a makeup line. I should go check it out soon, esp. after your review!

For some reason, I love bright blush at the moment! I've tried Topshop makeup in the 'old days' like when I was in uni, but not lately. They do good nail polish too I hear.
ReplyDeleteSadie xx
I share you apprehension in buying makeup from places like this, but I don't think it's always bad. I have never used cream blush though, even if it looks so very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI bought this blush after seeing you wear it a little while ago and I really like it. I also have four of their lipsticks which I also really like.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I'm always skeptical about cream blushes but after your review, I may give this one a shot!

Thanks for the review! I've heard about it as well and it's always nice to see an in-depth look like this before purchasing!
ReplyDeleteI have never tried any makeup from Topshop because I am skeptical about a clothing brand's makeup line. Some of the colours do look gorgeous though, i think i am going to give them a try the next time I go into Topshop.
